Chris Hero will be appearing for PWAQ (www.pwaqueensland.com) in Australia on May 11th and 12th.
In the biggest news to date regarding Rise of the Warriors, all three of the wildcard spots have been announced today by PWA President, Mark Williamson.
The first of which, has gone to Crofty, the PWA Canberra National Champion. Crofty contacted Williamson and put his name down for the tournament, to proudly represent his home turf as well as his duties as Canberra's champion and Williamson accepted.
In the President's Address we just received, Mark Williamson announces the final two wildcards, including his specially signed international talent that we recently heard the rumours of a few weeks ago. Who exactly are the wildcards? Who is behind the "He is Coming" messages? There's only one way to find out and that is by checking out this massive news update. Click here to go directly to the President's Address and now see what's in store for the Rise of the Warriors tournament.
Announced in the Address first, was South Australian based wrestler Damian Slater, who is currently training overseas at the NJPW Inoki Dojo in California. Slater is quickly becoming the top wrestling in EPW and wants to prove what he's got to fans in Queensland.
Last but not least, the international wildcard entrant that was rumoured to have signed on a few weeks ago was announced to be Chris Hero. Hero is internationally reknowned for being one of the world's premiere talents, wrestling in every major independant promotion in America as well as Europe to recently coming off a tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan. Hero has held numerous championships, both singles and tag and has had major experience in tournaments, such as the Ted Petty Invitational, Battle of Los Angeles and Tag World Grand Prix. This will be the 15th country Hero will have wrestled in and he intends to leave a permanent impression on Australia. To say he's the favourite in this tournament is an understatement.
This may be the biggest news yet on Rise of the Warriors but just remember, there is still 7 more participants left to be announced, including the 2 New Zealand entrants as well as the 5 remaining Queensland participants! With the show being almost seven weeks away. PWAQueensland.com will continue to be updated with more and more news, media and information regarding the debut show!
